Within the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” (AEDIM) project, the National Council for Women (NCW), in partnership with the European Union (EU), implemented an entrepreneurship training in Qurna village, in Luxor Governorate capitalizing on the “Get Ahead” program, from 23 to 27 July 2023, and targeted women who have participated in vocational training. 

       The training aims to develop business management skills of the targeted women, their entrepreneurial personality traits, and encourage them to start their own micro-enterprises.

    The training also includes many important topics, such as financial awareness, project marketing and management, pricing, financing, as well as the importance of family participation in every decision related to their projects.

     It is worth noting that the “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Irregular Migration” project aims to promote alternatives to irregular migration through promoting enterprise development and work opportunities for women and youth in Beheira, Gharbia, Luxor and Minya Governorates, in addition to implementing awareness-raising activities to highlight the risks of irregular migration based on the previous efforts.
